Frances is approximately 290 kms from Adelaide and located approximately 2kms from the Victorian border, 41kms from Naracoorte a major regional town and adjoining the border with Victoria. The area is a wealthy farming area. The hotel also catered for the Speed Shearing contest attracting a very large turnout.

The tariff for the motel is, single $65.00 and a twin $80 per night. The family room with a spa is $130 per night and the other two are $120 per night.
