The park is located at Stirling North, a small suburb (town) on the outskirts of Port Augusta. It is only 7 minutes from the centre of Port Augusta. The Travellers Rest Hotel is located diagonally across the road from the Park, where the traveller can have a beer, a meal or a punt on the TAB. No driving required.

The park can also be used as a base for the traveller to do daily tours into Quorn, Hawker the beautiful Flinders Ranges and surrounding areas.

The park is very well suited for company's workers that are doing projects in the surrounding area, of which there are many. There is a BBQ area for those wishing to relax and cook themselves and have a nice steak and a beer, along with a large central lawned area for children to play on.

The park is bus and truck friendly with no shortage of room and a very secure area. There are 14 cabins made up of nine two bedrooms one of which is set up as a disabled unit and five one bedroom cabins. There is also the residence cabin which is the office and one bedroom. There is also a coin operated laundry for the guest's convenience.
