Marree Hotel is located at the junction of the Birdsville and Oodnadatta Tracks. To the North is the Simpson Desert, Stuarts Stony Desert and to the Northeast is the Strzelecki Desert. During the peak season from March to the end of October and during the school holidays the area thrives with caravaners and four-wheel drive enthusiasts.

 

The road from Hawker to Marree is bitumen so if you did not want to go on the tracks you can still experience the Outback and stay at the hotel. Bookings are essential.

 

Marree is located approximately 700ks from Adelaide and is an easy and spectacular drive along the fringe of the magnificent Flinders Ranges.

Two storey hotel has 12 traditional accommodation rooms upstairs (with shared facilities). There are 28 superior ensuite cabins along with a guest swimming pool. There are 8 single staff cabins, 6 double rooms, along with the managers quarters.

 

The hotel has 2 bars several dining rooms and a wide range of historic photos and memorabilia. Visit the Tom Kruse and John McDouall Stuart museums.

 

Scenic Flights over the most unique natural saltwater systems on the planet – Kati Thanda – Lake Eyre are arranged by the hotel.
